Sunhope brings inverters to the Manaus Free Trade Zone
In August, Sunhope, controlled by China's Hangzhou Sunrise Technology, had a BRL 107.56 million project for energy meters in Manaus approved by Suframa. It now proposes to Codam a further BRL 162.42 million for solar inverters, water meters and lithium battery modules, with 1.35 million units of equipment planned in the first three years and 237 jobs. Approval is expected on 29 October.
InvestNews of 21 October 2026 records that Suframa approved 56 industrial establishment projects between January and August 2026, 40% above the same period of 2025, and links the demand to the tax reform, which preserves the Manaus Free Trade Zone benefits until 2073.
Board approval opens the establishment stage. Between the approval and the first sale lie the assembly of the line, the hiring of the team and the qualification of the products, and that interval is at the investor's expense.
The target of 1.35 million units in three years is the number to watch. The incentive guaranteed until 2073 gives the investment a horizon. Revenue begins when the line produces.
