Lot 4 of the Transmission Auction goes at a 50.55% discount
Before the auction, lot 4 had a maximum annual revenue of BRL 762.6 million; it went for BRL 377 million to Celeo Redes, a discount of 50.55%. ANEEL reported that the eight lots of Transmission Auction 4/2026 secure BRL 8.8 billion in investment and savings of BRL 20.7 billion for consumers over the life of the contracts.
Lot 4 accounts for almost half of the portfolio. According to CNN Brasil, on 30 October 2026, it involves around BRL 4.11 billion in investment, 1,167 km of lines and 3,600 MVA in Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná, passing through São Paulo, with 60 months from signature to commercial operation and a 30-year concession.
Until operation, there are five years of construction financed before the transmission service begins to be provided. With revenue cut in half, the cost of capital in that interval weighs directly on the winner's return.
For the system, the announced savings arrive with the lines in service. For the concessionaire, cash management until then defines the contract's margin.
