Migration of Group A to the free market used to take 180 days. With the rules approved by ANEEL on 27 October, most AS and A4 units under the simplified model move to 90 days, and the regulated contract only ends once migration is complete. The decision also establishes Open Energy, with standardised access to data and offer comparison at CCEE.

Agência iNFRA records a 4 to 1 vote. The timetable that gives the subject urgency is in Law 15,269/2025: low voltage opened within up to 24 months for industrial and commercial consumers and within up to 36 months for the others.

Internal deadlines are also running. The Open Energy page and price comparison have up to 12 months after publication of the rule, sharing via APIs has up to 24 months and the branding rules, 180 days. Group B depends on a separate proceeding in the 2026-2027 Regulatory Agenda.

For medium-voltage consumers, the gain is immediate: less time and less risk of being left without a contract. For low voltage, the legal clock is already running.
