The first charging park for heavy trucks in Rheine

Post commented onPost by Christoph Börger: “ChargePool GmbH eröffnet in Rheine. H2 Powercell GmbH liefert nach Schweitenkirchen.” See the full post in the Linus publication ↗

The public refuelling network for heavy trucks in Germany is concentrated in a few locations. The post by Christoph Börger announces for 27 August 2026 the opening, in Rheine, of ChargePool's first truck charging park and first hydrogen station, at 350 and 700 bar, at an existing Krimphoff & Schulte filling station.

The text describes the equipment but does not say who sustains operation and maintenance after the opening. In a statement of 18 November 2025, H2 MOBILITY reported that hylane customers would refuel at around 8 euros net per kilogram at selected stations in Germany from 1 January 2026, and attributed the price to contracted refuelling volumes.

Compression, storage and dispensing carry a fixed maintenance cost that is independent of the number of trucks served. Without a fleet committed by contract, the cost per kilogram rises and the station's availability comes to depend on capital injections from the operator.

What sustains a hydrogen station for trucks is the contracted refuelling volume, not the installed capacity.
