Energisa opens BRL 31 million from its Energy Efficiency Programme
The Energisa Group has opened a public call of around BRL 31 million under the Energy Efficiency Programme, regulated by ANEEL, for projects in the areas of its nine distribution companies across 11 states. Applications close on 16 November 2026 and the result is expected on 15 March 2027. In a post by Francisco Edgar, A2TM, an insurance broker, uses the announcement to address implementation risks.
The money originates in a legal obligation. Under Article 1 of Law 9,991/2000, distribution companies invest at least 0.50% of their net operating revenue every year in end-use energy efficiency. In 2025, Energisa allocated BRL 73.6 million to 136 projects.
After the works, the savings depend on the equipment working. The BRL 1.85 million project across 17 educational units in Várzea Grande has estimated savings of 773.75 MWh per year; idle air conditioning or a burnt-out inverter reduces that figure, and it is the institution served that feels it.
Those who apply by 16 November can reach the selection stage with maintenance and cover already planned. That way the estimated savings hold up after handover.
